Accounting Settlement and Reconciliation Associate
General working hours: M-F 7am-5pm CST (8 hour shift) Hourly rate -$22-$25 DOE; which may be below your state's minimum wage. Please take this into consideration when applying. Job Overview: The person in this role will support the accounting functions for our external clients including being accountable for the balancing and settling of all client benefits/funds entering and exiting the system Job Responsibilities: - Able to use Excel to balance bank statement reconciliations - Able to use Excel templates to balance daily settlements - Confirm all tasks are completed within the restricted time allocations DAILY - Work well in a team-oriented environment - Detail-oriented approach to work, assignments, etc - Have the flexibility and ability to deal with atypical and/or unusual situations. - Ensures accuracy and completeness of data - Ability to communicate effectively in English both via email and orally - All other duties as assigned Essential Skills/Knowledge/Certification: High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred - Minimum of 5+ years reconciliation experience - Experience in back office work in a bank, highly desirable - Experience in payment services / Prepaid Cards / Banking / ACH files is highly desirable - General accounting knowledge and expertise - Strong analytical skills - Strong reconciliation background - Computer literate.
