Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Expediter Procurement / Escalation Buyer is a highly operational role focused on securing material availability in critical supply situations. You will act as the key escalation point between suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring that delays, shortages, and allocation risks are resolved quickly to protect production continuity. This is a project-driven role (approx. 6–12 months) created to address current supply chain challenges—particularly in the electronics/components market, where availability constraints directly impact business growth. This position is part of the Procurement team, based in Delft (Netherlands), with flexibility to work remotely across Germany, the Netherlands, or Poland. In this role, a typical day will look like: Acting as the primary escalation point for critical supplier issues impacting production or customer delivery Expediting purchase orders and proactively chasing delayed shipments with suppliers Driving recovery plans, including prioritization, partial deliveries, and short-term capacity solutions Managing allocation situations and material shortages, securing confirmed quantities and delivery timelines Engaging directly with suppliers (including on-site visits across Europe) to resolve bottlenecks and improve responsiveness Collaborating closely with Supply Chain, Production Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics Tracking risks, shortages, and escalation status, and communicating updates to stakeholders Supporting emergency sourcing actions where needed The requirements of the job include: Willingness to travel between 25% to 50% of the time across Europe. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Dutch or German are a plus Proven experience in Procurement / Supply Chain, with exposure to expediting, order management, or supplier escalation Strong understanding of delivery performance (OTD), lead times, shortages, and allocation scenarios Experience in electronics, PCB manufacturing, or electronic components supply chains Familiarity with component distributors or brokers markets Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Infor LN / Syteline) OTT HydroMet is proud to part of the Water Quality segment of Veralto (NYSE: VLTO), a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring access to clean water, safe food and medicine, and trusted essential goods.
