Overview
CONMED has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst looking to contribute to the success of a global medical device company. In this role, you will support key aspects of financial planning and analysis for your organization—bringing strong Excel/data skills, business partnership capability, and a bias for actionable insights. You’ll support reporting & analysis for operational cost drivers (including inventory), ensure accurate accounting treatment for accruals and prepayments, support capital tracking and depreciation, and help translate financial performance into clear leadership-ready storytelling. What You’ll Do Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis, including inventory and supplier performance, with clear variance insights and actionable commentary. Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable financial models and analytical tools, ensuring a high standard of accuracy, efficiency, and user accessibility. Support the annual budgeting and long-range strategic planning processes, partnering cross-functionally to validate assumptions and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Execute and review key operational accounting activities, including general ledger entries, accruals, and prepayment schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Analyze financial results, perform variance analysis, and communicate key drivers, risks, and opportunities to business stakeholders. Track and manage capital expenditure requests across operational teams, including monitoring project spend, depreciation, and timely project closure. Assist with capital expenditure oversight and fixed asset management, including tracking, reporting, and compliance support as needed. Prepare and contribute to monthly executive-level presentations, summarizing financial performance, key risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. Perform ad hoc financial and operational analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations that support growth and operational efficiency. What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 2+ years of related experience in financial analysis, FP&A, cost/operations finance, or accounting support (or advanced degree with equivalent experience). Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large, raw datasets (modeling, reconciliation, automation-minded reporting).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP and finance systems; strong working knowledge of general ledger concepts and month-end processes. Experience in operations finance, or manufacturing/distribution environments. Power BI/SQL/Tableau exposure a plus. Working Style Strong critical thinking; turning ambiguity into analysis and recommendations. Clear communicator who can translate numbers into “so what” insights for non-finance partners. Highly organized; able to manage multiple priorities with quality and speed. Compensation: Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $66,200 to $102,600. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
