Senior Counsel @ LaunchDarkly

Enabling Safe, Real-Time Software Delivery Building the Future of Adaptive Software Control LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its legal team and support the company’s mission to empower teams to safely release and manage software at scale. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this role provides legal guidance across product, privacy, corporate, and employment matters within a global SaaS environment. The Senior Counsel will partner with cross-functional teams to address legal workstreams, balancing risk with business objectives. Responsibilities include advising on data privacy, intellectual property, and compliance for product and engineering teams; drafting and negotiating legal documents; supporting compliance initiatives; managing outside counsel; and assisting with international operations. The role also contributes to the development of legal templates and processes, and delivers training on relevant legal topics. Candidates should have a Juris Doctor (JD), an active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction, and typically 6+ years of legal experience, including in-house or client-facing roles. Experience advising SaaS companies and foundational knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property, and technology transactions are required. The ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with stakeholders is essential.
