Our commitment to safety, innovation, and community impact has positioned arenaflex as a trusted partner for contractors, developers, and homeowners alike. As the industry evolves, we continue to invest in digital tools, advanced logistics, and talent development to ensure that every delivery—whether a single bag of cement or a full truckload of ready‑mix concrete—arrives precisely when and where it’s needed.

Why This Role Matters

The Customer Service Dispatcher is the heartbeat of our delivery ecosystem. In this pivotal position, you will orchestrate the flow of concrete shipments from our plants to job sites, acting as the central hub of communication between customers, drivers, and plant personnel. Your ability to balance real‑time data, customer expectations, and operational constraints will directly influence the efficiency of our fleet, the safety of our crews, and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Coordination: Plan, schedule, and dispatch concrete deliveries to meet precise customer timelines while optimizing fleet utilization and minimizing empty miles.
  • Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely updates, answering inquiries, and resolving any service‑related issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Real‑Time Monitoring: Track delivery progress using arenaflex’s dispatching software, GPS tools, and radio communications; proactively adjust schedules to address traffic delays, equipment issues, or unexpected changes on the job site.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record delivery details, customer interactions, and incident reports; generate daily and weekly performance metrics for management review.
  • Collaboration with Plant Teams: Work closely with plant supervisors and production staff to align order readiness with dispatch schedules, ensuring that concrete quality standards are upheld.
  • Safety Advocacy: Promote a safety‑first culture by communicating safety protocols to drivers, monitoring compliance, and escalating any hazards or violations immediately.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline dispatch processes, reduce turnaround times, and enhance overall service quality; contribute ideas to the logistics optimization team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service, dispatch, or logistics coordination role, preferably within the construction materials or transportation sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers, drivers, plant personnel, and senior management.
  • Proficiency with dispatching software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), and basic data entry tools.
  • Strong multitasking skills with a proven track record of managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on proactive issue resolution and maintaining service continuity.
  • Commitment to safety standards and a keen awareness of operational risks associated with concrete delivery.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with advanced routing and scheduling software (e.g., Route4Me, Fleet Complete, or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with industry‑specific regulations, such as OSHA standards for concrete handling and transportation.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze delivery performance data to drive operational improvements.
  • Fluency in a second language (Spanish, French, etc.) to better serve a diverse customer base.
  • Certification in Customer Service Excellence (e.g., HDI, ITIL) or a recognized dispatching credential.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Communication Excellence: Clear, concise, and courteous verbal and written communication.
  • Organizational Mastery: Ability to maintain detailed records, manage schedules, and keep multiple tasks on track simultaneously.
  • Technological Agility: Comfort with adopting new software tools, mobile devices, and digital communication platforms.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: A genuine desire to exceed customer expectations and build lasting relationships.
  • Analytical Thinking: Skill in interpreting data trends, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending actionable solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills that foster cooperation across departments and with external partners.
  • Resilience Under Pressure: Ability to stay calm, focused, and decisive during high‑stress situations.
