As a Customer Success Manager (CSM) for the Asia‑Pacific Japan (APJ) region, you will be the trusted advisor who bridges arenaflex’s cutting‑edge technology with the strategic goals of our customers. You will guide complex enterprises through the entire lifecycle of data security and governance—from onboarding and implementation to adoption, renewal, and expansion—ensuring they realize measurable business value and long‑term partnership with arenaflex.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Customer Partnership
- Collaborate closely with APJ Sales, Field CTOs, and senior customer stakeholders to craft comprehensive account strategies that align with business objectives and technical roadmaps.
- Act as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors, building deep, trust‑based relationships across finance, compliance, data engineering, and security teams.
- Facilitate quarterly business reviews (QBRs), on‑site workshops, and strategic planning sessions that surface insights, celebrate wins, and outline next‑step initiatives.
Implementation & Adoption Excellence
- Design and execute customized onboarding plans that blend product training, security best practices, and compliance guidance, delivering clear use‑case scope, objectives, and timelines.
- Lead cross‑functional project teams—working alongside customer engineers, system integrators, and arenaflex product specialists—to deliver seamless deployments on modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Starburst.
- Develop detailed solution architectures, data governance diagrams (using Lucidchart, Visio, PowerPoint), and best‑practice playbooks that accelerate time‑to‑value for customers.
Customer Health & Growth Management
- Maintain robust customer scorecards, health metrics, and usage analytics within arenaflex’s Customer Success platform, proactively identifying optimization opportunities and risk signals.
- Drive adoption initiatives—such as feature enablement campaigns, training webinars, and community events—to increase product usage and demonstrate ROI.
- Own the renewal process: forecast renewal dates, address potential obstacles early, and uncover expansion opportunities that align with the customer’s evolving data strategy.
Product Advocacy & Feedback Loop
- Serve as the voice of the customer, translating real‑world challenges and feature requests into actionable insights for arenaflex’s Product Management and Engineering teams.
- Participate in beta programs, provide hands‑on testing, and help shape the roadmap for next‑generation data security capabilities.
Thought Leadership & Enablement
- Develop internal knowledge assets—onboarding guides, training modules, and implementation best practices—to elevate the entire Customer Success organization.
- Support pre‑sales activities, including RFP responses, solution demos, and joint presentations with System Integrators, reinforcing arenaflex as the preferred technology partner.
- Represent arenaflex at industry conferences, user groups, and customer events, showcasing success stories and thought leadership in data governance.
What You’ll Bring – Essential Qualifications
- 8–10 years of proven experience as a Customer Success Manager or equivalent role focused on data security, governance, or cloud‑based analytics solutions.
- Strong technical foundation—ideally a BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline—and a track record of consulting or solution‑architecting for enterprise customers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Japanese is a plus but not mandatory.
- Deep understanding of data security principles, compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), and regulatory requirements across APJ markets.
- Hands‑on experience onboarding and scaling data security solutions, with a demonstrated ability to drive high renewal rates and expansion revenue.
- Expertise with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Starburst) and major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), including data architecture, analytics pipelines, and API integrations.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) systems, data catalog tools, and data lineage technologies.
- Strong project management capabilities—ability to juggle multiple complex initiatives, manage timelines, and deliver results with meticulous attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel across the APJ region (typically 15–25% of the time) to meet customers on‑site and support strategic engagements.
Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills
- Experience working in a fast‑growing SaaS environment, preferably within the data‑privacy or security domain.
- Certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or relevant cloud platform credentials.
