Travel Sales Specialist Location: United States, Latin America, or Philippines (Fully Remote) Compensation: Based on experience Schedule: US Business Hours About the Client Our client is a travel brokerage operating in the points and miles space. They purchase unused credit card points and miles and resell them to travel agents and brokers who need them to facilitate discounted travel for their own clients. It is a fast-moving, specialized business at the intersection of loyalty programs and the travel industry.
About the Role
As a Travel Sales Specialist, you will be part of the client-facing team that works directly with travel agents and brokers. Your core focus is fulfillment and soft sales: receiving requests, executing bookings, facilitating point transfers, and providing access to airline and hotel mile accounts, all while managing multiple priorities and delivering a high standard of service. This is not a passive support role. You need to be sharp, responsive, and commercially minded. While there is an advisory element to how points and miles are moved and applied, the primary scope of this role is operational execution and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and fulfill requests from travel agents and brokers, including flight and hotel bookings, point transfers, and account access.
- Manage multiple open tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with travel agents and brokers throughout the fulfillment process.
- Apply a soft sales approach, identifying opportunities to add value and build strong, ongoing relationships.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all transactions and account management tasks.
- Stay familiar with the points and miles landscape to understand the nature of the transactions you are facilitating, particularly as they relate to US credit card rewards programs.
What We're Looking For
- Travel industry background — experience as a travel consultant, corporate travel agent, OTA specialist, or similar. You understand how bookings work and how the industry operates.
- Knowledge of US credit card rewards, points, and loyalty programs — you don't need to be a master strategist, but you must understand how credit card rewards, transfers, and redemptions work at a functional level. Familiarity with the US banking and rewards ecosystem is a strong advantage.
- GDS experience, especially Sabre — not a hard requirement, but highly valued and will set you apart.
- Strong multitasker — you can manage several open requests at once without losing accuracy or responsiveness.
- Excellent communicator — written and verbal English must be clear, professional, and client-ready.
- Commercially driven — you take pride in getting things done and going the extra mile for the agents and brokers you serve.
- Reliable and committed — this team moves fast and consistency matters.
Why This Role? If you come from a travel background, thrive in a fast-paced operational environment, and have a genuine interest in the points and miles world, this is a unique opportunity to join a growing and specialized niche.
