Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in healthcare settings
- Strong understanding of medical record documentation, coding, and billing processes
- Proven ability to perform concurrent and retrospective medical record reviews
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
- Ability to analyze data, identify documentation gaps, and recommend improvements
- Knowledge of MS-DRG/APR-DRG and inpatient prospective payment systems
Nice to Have
Skills:
- Familiarity with healthcare quality metrics and compliance standards
- Experience working remotely in healthcare documentation or CDI roles
- Advanced certifications in medical documentation or coding (e.g., CCDS, CPC)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Foreign or domestic Medical School Graduate (license not required)
- Graduate from a Physician’s Assistant or RN program
- At least 3 years of relevant clinical or documentation experience in a healthcare setting
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 hours/day, remotely
- Proof of education at the time of submission
- Familiarity with healthcare payment systems and documentation best practices
- Willingness to participate in ongoing education and departmental initiatives
