Web Content Lead and Project Manager
Preferred location is New York, NY (Hudson Yards area), though remote candidates will also be considered. Remote employees must be available to work EST business hours. We are seeking an experienced Web Content Lead & Project Manager to oversee website content operations across multiple digital properties. This role will be responsible for maintaining web content, publishing high-quality digital experiences, and managing the end-to-end content development, review, and production process. The ideal candidate has strong experience in content management systems, project coordination, stakeholder management, and digital content operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage content updates and requests through Workfront or similar project management platforms
- Review incoming web requests and coordinate updates across enterprise web properties
- Publish updates to live websites and communicate changes with internal stakeholders
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting on content activities and project status
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain and update the editorial content calendar
- Lead recurring meetings to keep projects on track and aligned with timelines
- Manage ongoing web and thought leadership content initiatives
- Serve as the team's subject matter expert for Workfront and content operations processes
- Edit, create, and publish pages using Contentful CMS or similar platforms
- Share preview links and gather feedback from project stakeholders
- Coordinate with creative teams for image sourcing and visual assets
- Partner with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve website issues
- Monitor and resolve broken links and website issues through third-party reporting tools
- Manage expiring content by coordinating updates, removals, or page sunsets with content owners
- Support content audits, inventory management, taxonomy updates, and URL structure improvements
- Assist with ongoing content governance and optimization initiative
- Support website content planning and editorial calendaring efforts
- Help maintain alignment between content strategy, business goals, and publishing schedules
Must Haves:
- 4–8 years of experience in web publishing, content management, or content marketing
- Hands-on experience with Contentful CMS or similar platforms such as Drupal or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Experience using Workfront or similar project management tools
- Strong understanding of content operations and digital publishing workflows
- Basic working knowledge of HTML
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Associated Press (AP) style guidelines
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to maintain brand consistency across digital properties
