THE MISSION : Transcribe audio / video recordings to produce a final transcript. Verify elements of the transcript to ensure accuracy. Proofread transcripts of legal proceedings. QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS : MUST be a U.S. citizen. High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years experience as a legal transcriptionist. Minimum touch-typing speed of 60 WPM with a high degree of accuracy. Proficient in the English language. Exhibit a courteous and professional demeanor with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Knowledge of English, including grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, spelling, and vocabulary. Knowledge of medical, legal, and technical terminology. JOB REQUIREMENTS : Home office set-up. Home office set-up. High speed internal Internet (NO satellite). USB-Infinity foot pedal (DVI USB foot pedals not compatible). Headphones. Windows 10, Intel I3 or better processor / AMD K4 or better, 8 GB RAM minimum, and 250 GB hard drive minimum. PAYMENT : $20.00 per audio hour transcribed.
