The Role
As a Customer Service Representative – Union Benefits Specialist, you'll play a critical role in educating members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner. You'll also have the opportunity to sell additional benefits to members who are interested, but only if they express a desire to do so. This is not a cold-calling role, and you'll be working directly with union associations and their members.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service to members, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Educate members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation
- Sell additional benefits to members who express a desire to do so
- Work closely with union associations to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of benefits to members
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve service delivery
Requirements for Consideration
* Flexible hours to accommodate the needs of our members
- Fluency in English (bilingual in any language is a plus, but not required)
- Must reside in California (we're a California-based company, and we need team members who are familiar with the state's laws and regulations)

Essential Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in customer service or a related field
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with labor unions, credit unions, or associations
- Familiarity with benefits administration and sales
- Bilingual in any language (a plus, but not required)
- Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
