Senior Molecular Biologist
Our client, a leading bioscience research firm in St. Louis, Missouri, US , is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Molecular Biologist to join their innovative team. This role involves conducting cutting-edge research and development in molecular biology, with a focus on gene editing technologies and therapeutic target identification. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of molecular biology principles, experimental design, and data analysis. Responsibilities include designing and executing complex experiments, analyzing and interpreting research data, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to the development of novel research strategies. You will be responsible for maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks, preparing scientific reports and presentations, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including geneticists, biochemists, and pharmacologists. The successful candidate will have experience with a variety of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, cloning, DNA/RNA isolation, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation. Experience with CRISPR-Cas9 or other gene-editing systems is highly desirable. A strong background in bioinformatics and computational analysis of genomic data is also a significant advantage. This position requires a Master's or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate research experience. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and mentor junior researchers is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively present findings and collaborate within a dynamic research environment.
