Automation QE Engineer – USA Remote (GC/Citizens Only)
Job description: Location: Remote USA Work Authorization: Must be US Green Card Holder or US Citizen only Experience : 3–6 years in software QA or test automation Only candidates with hands-on automation coding experience will be considered. Role Overview We are seeking a Quality Engineering Automation Engineer to join application development teams. The focus is on building automated test systems that improve product quality, reliability, and delivery confidence. This is a software engineering–driven QA role focused on automation, not manual testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build automated test suites across unit, integration, API, and end-to-end layers
- Develop stable automation for frontend and backend services using modern frameworks and languages
- Create API/service tests validating contracts, data flows, and business logic
- Build test harnesses, mocks, stubs, and test data strategies
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates
- Improve test reliability, reduce flakiness, and troubleshoot failures with developers
- Collaborate with engineers to embed testing early in development
- Improve overall test coverage, speed, and feedback cycles

- Strong increase in automated test coverage across systems
- Fast and reliable continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines
- Earlier defect detection and reduced production issues
- Stable, trusted end-to-end automation
- Developers actively contributing to testing practices
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–6 years
in software QA or test automation
- Strong programming skills in at least
one modern language
- Experience with
API and backend test automation
- Experience testing web-based frontend applications
- Familiar with
Agile workflows and version control systems Preferred Skills
- End-to-end UI automation experience
- API contract/schema testing experience
- Knowledge of cloud-based application testing
- Exposure to performance or resiliency testing
- Understanding of test design patterns (mocking, isolation, test data management)
- BDD experience
