Responsibilities
As a Japanese-speaking Customer Support Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Handling booking-related inquiries via phone and email, as well as selling optional tours and gift products
- Recording and delivering messages, furnishing information, accepting orders, and relaying calls
- Accepting and conveying messages for customers according to specific client instructions
- Handling emergency calls and resolving customers' issues and concerns by following proper procedures; obtaining information from the caller and reporting to the manager if needed
- Taking customer information, arranging services, and submitting reservation requests to vendors by telephone and online systems
- Handing over unresolved messages or incidents to the next shift staff
- Computing charges, receiving charge card payments, and reconfirming tour details with the customer
- Performing all other multi-task duties within the company as assigned by the General Manager
Must Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in a call center or customer service/sales environment
- A good command of Japanese and English to communicate with customers and vendors (minimum JLPT N2 and TOEIC score 700 or equivalent level required)
- The ability to resolve conflicts and complaints from customers in an effective and friendly manner
- Proficiency in using a computer with specific knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, good data-entry, and typing skills
Preferred Requirements
While not required, the following skills and experience would be beneficial:
- Knowledge of the tour industry, tour movements, and arrangements
- Working knowledge of Hawaii's tourism infrastructure, understanding of different countries' tour characteristics and needs
- Working knowledge of telephone operation and etiquette
Job Highlights
* Position: Customer Support
- Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time
- Pay Rate per hour: $17.00 ($21.00 - night/overnight shift premium)
- Working Hours: Shift schedule, 24 hours/7 days a week. Must be available to be flexible to work all shifts, days, and nights, including holidays
- Up to 40 hours per week with overtime, as deemed necessary, with prior management approval
- Up to 20 hours per week
- Work Style: Air-conditioned office or remote workplace
- Location: This is a remote position, but the office is in Honolulu, Hawaii
- Start Date: Available immediately
