Our Services Team

The arenaflex Services team, headquartered in Milpitas, CA, is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. We partner with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include:

  • Proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance
  • Expertise in optics, image processing, and motion control with worldwide service engineers
  • 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems
  • An extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts

Job Description

As an Experienced Customer Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Installation and start-up of new equipment or upgrades based at customer sites
  • Servicing of existing equipment and trouble shooting
  • Following and working according to documented 'Best Known' methods
  • Collaborating closely with the technical support team at Head Quarter to resolve issues
  • Documentation of the work performed
  • Taking ownership of and leading projects at the customer sites
  • Loyal appearance of the company towards the customer

The position is based in the Reutlingen area, Germany, with occasional travel by company car within Germany and minor travel across Europe. Working hours are from Monday to Friday in dayshift, with no shift work, no weekend work, and no on-call duty.

Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree, technician's degree, or apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician
  • Experience in the fields of vacuum technology, process measurement and control technology, robotics, or plasma technology
  • Very good communication skills in English, with German as a plus (in writing and speaking)
  • A valid driver's license for Germany

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
