A Day in the Role

As a Data Entry Clerk (2nd Shift) with arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing batches of work by extracting checks and remittances from envelopes
  • Operating Imaging/Extraction equipment (OPEX 50/51/60, OPEX 7200, OPEX 150)
  • Inputting data into the system while following standard operating procedures and customer-specific instructions for processing
  • Verifying negotiability of checks through customer-specific instructions for processing
  • Analyzing all transactions to ensure payments are properly processed
  • Re-associating check images to corresponding material while validating quality of images
  • Maintaining site productivity and quality standards
  • Occasionally lifting and moving mail trays
  • Contributing to meeting team goals in addition to individual responsibilities
  • Flexibility and willingness to cross-train and learn all job functions in operations
  • Making judgment calls regarding routine duties but referring non-routine situations to a supervisor and/or manager
  • Recommending procedural and workflow changes to enhance quality and productivity

Work Environment

As a Data Entry Clerk (2nd Shift) with arenaflex, you can expect:

  • A 40-hour work week
  • A business casual environment
  • Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm
  • Located in Valley Cottage, NY

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and productivity
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry software
  • Ability to lift and move mail trays occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience with Imaging/Extraction equipment (OPEX 50/51/60, OPEX 7200, OPEX 150)
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures and customer-specific instructions for processing
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to verify negotiability of checks and analyze transactions
  • Experience working in a team environment, with a focus on meeting productivity and quality standards
  • Basic knowledge of procedural and workflow changes to enhance quality and productivity
