Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative – Laboratory Sample Coordination and Support, you will be responsible for:
- Greeting visitors, ascertaining the nature of their business, and escorting them to the appropriate personnel
- Answering telephone calls, providing information to callers, and/or routing calls to the appropriate personnel
- Receiving and securing all incoming laboratory samples mailed or collected through courier services or customer drop-off
- Entering laboratory worksheet/sample submission form information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Maintaining contact with customers and working with the laboratory team for any customer communication
- Receiving and disseminating all inbound laboratory supplies to applicable laboratory departments
- Performing 100% proof checks on daily paperwork for ISO compliance
- Supporting the laboratory by creating purchase orders and placing orders for the laboratory
- Coordinating and communicating all customer courier stops and pick-ups
- Supporting the laboratory operations and customers by picking up and dropping off samples and supplies, when needed
- Responsible for filing and keeping documents organized
- Extensive database entry and supporting the laboratory operations by performing any administrative and clerical duties, including customer certificates
- Assisting in other assigned duties as needed
Schedule
As a part-time employee, you will typically be required to work afternoons, with a surge of incoming samples from 1pm-7pm. You will need to have flexibility in your schedule due to the department's needs, and availability to work weekends will be required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED; an AA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Biology, or Chemistry is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering outstanding experiences
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
