The Role
As an Experienced Vulnerable Customer Service Adviser, you'll play a vital role in supporting customers who are struggling with various challenges, including addiction, financial difficulties, and mental health issues. You'll be part of our Vulnerability, Accessibility, Inclusion, and Bereavements (VAIB) Team, which is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to customers in need.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to customers facing difficulties or hardship
- Take escalations from fellow Customer Service Advisors and engage in sensitive conversations via phone or in-app chat
- Collaborate with customers to understand their financial accessibility needs and make adjustments to support their journey with arenaflex
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, built on trust, empathy, and understanding
- Work closely with the VAIB Team to ensure seamless support and referrals for customers in need
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting vulnerable customers
Essential Qualifications:
* 1+ year of experience working with vulnerable customers, preferably in a customer-facing role
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution
- Ability to manage a high volume of calls and prioritize difficult conversations effectively
- Strong personal boundaries and resilience, with a commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
- Familiarity with arenaflex's products and services
- Knowledge of financial inclusion, accessibility, and diversity initiatives
- Certification in customer service, conflict resolution, or a related field
