Your Role in Detail

As a Text Chat Operator – Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for responding to live chat messages from customers on our clients' websites. Your primary goal will be to provide timely, accurate, and empathetic support, resolving issues and answering questions to the best of your ability. This is an entry-level position, and we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently, managing multiple conversations and prioritizing tasks effectively

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., communications, customer service) preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and manage multiple conversations simultaneously
  • Reliable internet connection and a device capable of accessing social media and website chat functions
  • Availability for 10+ hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts (e.g., mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience in customer service, call center, or related field

  • Familiarity with live chat software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Knowledge of industry-specific terminology and concepts (e.g., e-commerce, retail, healthcare)
  • Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCEP)
