Key Responsibilities
As a Retail Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, providing expert advice on our products and services, and ensuring that every customer leaves our store feeling satisfied and valued. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service, anticipating customer needs, and finding solutions to meet their expectations
- Utilizing consultative skills to understand each customer's individualized needs and provide personalized recommendations
- Demonstrating expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines, and recommending appropriate FedEx Office products and services
- Taking complex customer orders using order systems and providing accurate pricing information
- Assembling parcels and preparing goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels
- Setting up and operating printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer-supplied original media and documents
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment
- Ensuring confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages
- Processing financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change
- Cleaning, repairing, and stocking all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability
- Staying current on retail store merchandising materials and ensuring proper display of all retail area product and signage
- Taking preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
- Completing required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting, including daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful as a Retail Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications and requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 6+ months of specialized experience in a retail or customer service environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
- Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
- Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the arenaflex business
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working in a retail or customer service environment
- Knowledge of printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines
- Experience with Point of Sale terminals (POS) and financial transactions
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed
