The Role
As a Data Engineer (L5) – Customer Service at arenaflex, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's passionate about using data to drive business outcomes. You'll collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and CS business owners to build reliable, scalable data pipelines, transform raw data into core business metrics, and work with custom visualization tools that surface CS insights. Your expertise will help us measure, optimize, and personalize our customer service investments to deliver a delightful, efficient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop reliable, scalable data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records)
- Develop strong data modeling skills to create adaptable structures that can handle changes in source data or business processes
- Work with Python or Scala to write clean, supportable code and advocate for data quality
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business leaders to prioritize business problems and develop metrics
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive business outcomes and improve our product offerings
Essential Qualifications:
* At least 4 years of experience engineering data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records)
- Strong data modeling skills with the ability to design adaptable structures
- Advanced SQL skills and a passion for data quality
- Analytical aptitude to think through business problems and prioritize autonomously
- Strong communication and partnership skills with analysts, engineers, and business leaders
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with custom visualization tools and surfacing CS insights
- Familiarity with arenaflex's products and services
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment

Compensation and Benefits:
* Competitive salary range: $170,000 - $720,000
