What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
As a Customer Service Representative I, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service across various communication channels, including voice, email, web chats, and texts. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to students, responding to their inquiries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting Students with Admissions and Enrollment: Assist students with inquiries related to admissions, enrollment, registration, and financial aid processes, ensuring that they have a smooth and seamless experience.
- Scheduling Patient Appointments and Managing Registration: Schedule patient appointments and manage registration using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensuring Compliance with University Policies: Ensure compliance with university policies and adherence to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
- Completing Special Projects and Performing Other Duties: Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
What is Required (Qualifications)
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating your basic educational requirements.
- Minimum of One Year of Customer Service Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of customer service experience, demonstrating your ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- General Knowledge of Customer Service Principles and Processes: Have a general knowledge of customer service principles and processes, including complex problem-solving, active listening, and effective communication.
- Proficient Skills in Complex Problem-Solving, Active Listening, and Effective Communication: Possess proficient skills in complex problem-solving, active listening, and effective communication, ensuring that you can respond to a wide range of customer inquiries and issues.
- Ability to Manage Time Effectively and Work Independently or Within a Team: Be able to manage time effectively and work independently or within a team, demonstrating your ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- Familiarity with Banner, Recruit, and/or Avaya Systems: Be familiar with Banner, Recruit, and/or Avaya systems, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex software systems.
- Bilingual Proficiency in English and Spanish: Possess bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, ensuring that you can communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
