ABOUT THE POSITION The Chicago School is hiring a Regional Assistant Dean. This role is part of a broader strategy to expand medical education access in underserved or regional areas, in partnership with the IllinoisCOM Chicago campus and other health professions programs. It blends academic leadership with community engagement to ensure the program meets both educational and community health needs. The Regional Assistant Dean is a part-time position (0.60 FTE) based in the Los Angeles, California geographic region. This position will report to the Senior Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs. PRINCIPLE DUTIES: Program Development & Curriculum Delivery Assist in creating and implementing medical school curriculum for the clinical years at the California regional campus. Collaboration Work closely with the main campus Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education, the Office of Clinical Education, and other health professions programs. Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain relationships with governmental, philanthropic, community, and health system leaders to support academic and clinical opportunities. Recruit preceptors in the region to assist in the supervision and education of IlliniosCOM medical students. Community Integration Partner with local institutions to integrate the regional campus into IllinoisCOM. Educational Oversight Facilitate the delivery of the curriculum under the IllinoisCOM Curriculum Committee’s guidance, ensuring alignment with educational standards. Administrative Support Contribute to budget management, program planning, and committee assignments as needed. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Advanced degree in medicine management or related field; preferably a medical degree (MD/DO) with clinical and administrative experience Minimum 5 years of program development, medical education, or related administrative experience Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives; familiarity with medical education frameworks and accreditation standards Compensation & Benefits This opportunity is budgeted at $105,000 - $150,000 annually base compensation.
