Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Accurately interpreting and entering design and inspection data into IDMS software, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the information.
- Identifying and troubleshooting errors or anomalies in the data, and implementing corrective actions to maintain data accuracy.
- Monitoring for any variances requiring validation to ensure accuracy, and implementing quality control measures to prevent errors.
- Interpreting P&ID drawings and performing iso correlation for piping entry, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry.
- Recording UT readings accurately and reflecting the correct specifications, and verifying entered data for accuracy through review and correction.
- Creating inspection isometrics in AutoCAD (2D), and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Experience with IDMS Software such as PCMS, Meridian, and others, with a strong understanding of data management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in Refinery or Plant inspection, or NDT experience, is a plus, but not required.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
While not required, the following skills and competencies would be beneficial in this role:
- Familiarity with various Asset Integrity IDMS software platforms, with experience in data management and asset integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with software applications, with experience in data entry and management.
