A well-established AV-rated Ohio litigation firm is looking to add a Civil Litigation Attorney to their thriving and specialized practice. This role is ideal for an experienced civil litigator who is looking for long-term stability, meaningful responsibility, and a clear path toward leadership and ownership within the firm. The attorney in this role will handle civil litigation matters from early investigation through resolution. This includes managing discovery, working closely with experts (including selection and evaluation), taking and defending depositions, drafting motions, and supporting trial preparation. The firm focuses on a wide range of claims and works closely with national clients and third-party administrators on litigation strategy and recovery efforts. This position does not require billable hours but instead focuses on recoveries for clients and exceptional work, while maintaining a good work/life balance. This is a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment where attorneys are expected to operate with a high degree of independence while also contributing to the broader success of the firm. The ideal candidate is interested in growing with the firm and taking on increasing responsibility, including mentoring junior attorneys. Located near Cleveland and Akron, the practice extends statewide across Ohio and Indiana and is expanding into Kentucky. Basic Requirements For The Civil Litigation Attorney

  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Ohio (or willingness to obtain); Indiana and/or Kentucky licensure is a plus
  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Strong experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and working with experts
  • Trial experience (bench or jury) preferred; second-chair experience considered
  • Ability to manage cases independently with minimal oversight once onboarded
  • Strong analytical, writing, and client communication skills
  • Stable work history and demonstrated commitment to long-term professional growth

Compensation

Pay: The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $170,000. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
