Position Overview
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for many of our patients, providing support and guidance through inbound calls, emails, and other communication channels. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that every interaction is positive, empathetic, and tailored to the unique needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Answer incoming healthcare contact center calls, providing support and guidance to our community seniors
- Gather and verify demographic information using standard computer software and systems
- Use problem-solving skills to identify immediate caller needs, including potential crisis calls, and route calls to appropriate resources according to standard operating procedures
- Document all call information according to approved operating procedures
- Use verbal communication strategies to effectively elicit information, gain confidence from callers, and provide reassurance
- Accurately identify caller's presenting concerns and document per protocol
- Meet quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics, including punctuality and attendance
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare call center environment
- Active listening, empathy, professionalism, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on first-call resolution and building value for the customer
- Experience with Google Suite applications
- Experience with data entry and call documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Medical terminology preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, communications)
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a customer service or call center role
- Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Call Center Professional (CCCP)
- Experience with CRM software and other customer relationship management tools
