Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist to join our RedBox Rx team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for processing prescription orders, assisting customers with visit and treatment-related inquiries, and performing data entry tasks. Key Responsibilities
* Process prescription orders from RedBox Rx providers and assist customers with visit and treatment-related inquiries
- Create new patient profiles for patients
- Perform prescription data entry
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and facility policies
- Perform other related job duties and special projects as required
- Handle inquiries that do not require a pharmacist's expertise and judgment
- Assist in adherence to quality assurance standards
- Adhere to all statutes and regulations pertaining to a pharmacy technician
- Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified as a licensed technician through a certified national program and maintains continuing education requirements to keep license active
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy clerk is preferred
- Strong leadership skills; ability to assist other members of the department
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to do logical or scientific thinking to solve problems; several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting in the preparation of accurate prescriptions
- Must be able to compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals; have increased contact with people; interview counsel or advise people; evaluate technical data
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with operating software, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer's private medical information according to the HIPAA act
