The Role

As a Customer Service Representative, Retirement, you'll be the primary point of contact for individuals seeking guidance on their retirement plans. You'll serve as a subject matter expert, providing accurate and detailed information about our products and services while demonstrating exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills. Your expertise will help customers navigate complex systems, databases, and software, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Answer inbound calls, respond to emails, and engage with customers through various channels, providing timely and effective solutions to their queries and concerns

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including plan participants, beneficiaries, financial professionals, and plan sponsors, to address customer service inquiries and concerns
  • Meet and/or exceed established key performance goals, including call metrics and quality standards
  • Build rapport with customers, educating them about their retirement plans and providing personalized recommendations to meet their needs
  • Research and resolve complex customer issues, utilizing multiple systems, databases, and software
  • Demonstrate professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations, maintaining a positive attitude and adapting to changing priorities and rapid change
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and organizational initiatives to enhance team performance and quality
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills

Training and Development

As a new hire, you'll undergo an intensive 8-week training program, led by experienced trainers and coaches, to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this role. Our training program includes:

  • Classroom instruction and hands-on training
  • Mentorship and coaching from experienced team members
  • Ongoing support and feedback to ensure your success

What We're Looking For

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or post-secondary education preferred

  • 0-1+ years of general experience; prior customer service or financial services experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to quickly learn complex systems and product knowledge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work from home, with a reliable internet connection (12 Mbps minimum; 25 Mbps preferred)
  • Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) a plus, with an additional $1.00 per hour pay incentive

Nice-to-Have Experience

* 2+ years of previous service industry and/or financial services experience

  • Previous remote or work-from-home experience
  • Passion for helping, servicing, and educating others, with a desire to build rapport during each interaction
  • Ability to research and problem-solve, while providing outstanding customer service
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail

Compensation and Benefits

* Competitive hourly rate: $19.42 - $20.42
