The Role

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative - Patient Registration, you'll play a critical role in helping our patients check into the hospital. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, using your excellent communication skills to collect information accurately and quickly. You'll also need to be a confident multi-tasker who can type and answer phones, working across multiple screens and programs to input details correctly.

Key Responsibilities

* Working on computers and answering phones to intake information in a busy environment

  • Helping people who may be very ill or worried, listening carefully to ease their anxiety and building rapport in real time
  • Fast-paced work environment, often on your feet assisting patients complete their registration
  • Collecting patient and insurance information, which may require knowledge through training
  • Working quickly and expecting the unexpected, as the data you collect may be predictable, but the people you'll get it from aren't

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED

  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately
  • Familiarity with technology and ability to learn new systems quickly

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a healthcare setting

  • Knowledge of health plans and coverage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
