Job Summary
As a Customer Service Specialist - Aviva Travel Insurance, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our Aviva travel insurance customers. You will handle a high volume of customer inquiries, resolve complex issues, and provide personalized support to ensure our customers receive the best possible experience. This is a full-time, remote work opportunity, requiring a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service to Aviva travel insurance customers via phone, email, and chat
- Handle a high volume of customer inquiries, resolving complex issues and providing personalized support
- Adhere to mandatory call scripts and ensure compliance with FCA regulations
- Use multiple systems simultaneously to manage customer interactions and resolve issues
- Own and handle FCA regulated complaints through to completion
- Identify and record vulnerability, providing patience, empathy, and support to customers
- Comply with strict FCA regulations around compliance with a key focus on customer protection
- Maintain a professional working environment, free from distractions and noise
- Ensure a dedicated workspace is available, free from mobile phones and other electronic devices
Essential Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience in a customer service environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using PC systems within a fast-paced environment
- Comprehensive experience in a customer-facing role
- Ability to establish collaborative customer relationships
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality measures
- Good, consistent typing speed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in the insurance industry or a related field
- Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with time in our office
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
* Competitive salary: £22,556.82 per annum - £12.10 per hour
- 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays), increasing to 30 days following your 1-year service anniversary
