What You'll Do

As a Full Stack Customer Sales Associate, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales growth, and contributing to the overall success of our stores. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Demonstrating a keen awareness of the importance of proper animal handling and adhering to best practices at all times
  • Performing cashiering duties, including processing transactions, handling cash and credit transactions, and balancing the cash register
  • Executing tasks that aid in achieving the store's assigned sales goal, including promoting products, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Properly managing the stock and prices of goods, ensuring smooth store operations and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Heeding established operational guidelines and store regulations, ensuring adherence to designated procedures and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all occupants of the store
  • Evaluating guest inquiries and referring them to the appropriate staff member, such as the Guest Experience Leader or the Leader on Duty
  • Conducting quarterly and annual physical inventory audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of inventory records
  • Executing assigned special projects as directed by the team leader, contributing to the overall success of the store

Key Accountabilities

  • Live animals' health and happiness at arenaflex are ensured by providing them the proper care based on established standards, guidelines, and policies that involves conducting hourly animal health checks and recording their wellness
  • Skillfully interacts with professional contacts via both verbal and written communication, with an unwavering emphasis on the company's interests
  • Provides helpful and friendly customer service to arenaflex guests, identifying their specific needs and offering appropriate product recommendations, while efficiently employing suggestive selling techniques to boost individual sales
  • To excel in this role, one must have an extensive understanding of nutrition, a strong grasp on Pals Rewards membership sign-up, an in-depth knowledge of the Welcome to the Family program, and proficiency in effective sales tactics
  • Secures an outstanding customer experience for all Omni-channel endeavors, which includes Instacart, Extended Aisle, and Repeat Delivery
  • Performs the routine task of balancing the cash register to ensure accurate cash management
  • Contributes to maintaining order and tidiness by stocking and facing merchandise regularly
  • Registers transactions using the cash register and assists customers with carry-out service, including items that weigh 50 pounds or less per trip
  • Abides by the loss prevention regulations implemented by the workplace
  • Supports the store's inventory management by contributing to the loading, unloading, and stocking of merchandise according to established standards
  • Maintains that animals, birds, reptiles, and fish in the store receive high-quality care, and their living conditions are clean, safe, and secure. Additionally, their health is regularly monitored and any needed attention is given
  • Store leaders are promptly alerted if any animal, reptile, bird, or fish requires medical attention or special care
  • Executes routine housekeeping tasks to preserve the store's professional and well-maintained appearance, including sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, washing windows, arranging merchandise on shelves, and ensuring restrooms are clean
  • Assists store management in efficiently and accurately completing all necessary paperwork during the store opening and closing period
  • Engages in the conduct of quarterly and annual physical inventory audits
  • Devotes significant attention to safety procedures, implementing and enforcing regulations and policies to ensure a clean and healthy environment for all occupants of the store
  • Executes assigned special projects as directed by the team leader

Supervisory Responsibility

None.

Work Environment
