Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Specialist to join our 3rd Shift team in Columbus, OH. As a Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for entering new orders for staff pharmacist review, maintaining accurate customer information, generating labels for dispensing, and responding to order inquiries. This is a remote data entry position that requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

* Enter new orders for staff pharmacist review and ensure timely and accurate processing

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer information, including demographic and insurance details
• Generate labels for dispensing and ensure accurate and efficient processing
• Answer phones and respond to order inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
• Clarify orders as needed and ensure accurate and timely processing
• Triage incoming faxes and ensure timely and accurate processing
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless and efficient processing of orders
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices

Requirements

* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy

• Previous experience in pharmacy, preferably in a Long-Term Care setting
• Knowledge of brand names and generic medications, as well as SIG-Codes
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Quick typing skills and computer literacy, with experience using Frameworks LTC system and PLUS
• Ability to work a 3rd Shift schedule, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a remote data entry environment

• Knowledge of pharmacy software and systems, including electronic health records and billing systems
• Experience working with diverse patient populations and age groups
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and management
• Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and supportive team culture
