Sales Development Representative (Virtual Assistant)
About the Company
Creating Logistics Services is a full-service trucking company based in Houston, Texas, specialising in flatbed freight. We haul steel, machinery, construction materials, lumber, and anything that goes on a trailer. As we scale our operations, we're building out a dedicated sales team to drive new business and expand our client base. Role Overview We're looking for a driven and articulate Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing virtual team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact with prospective clients — identifying leads, making outbound calls, and booking qualified appointments for our senior sales closers. This is a high-impact role for someone who is hungry, organised, and confident on the phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and build targeted lead lists using Apollo and other lead generation tools
- Research and identify key decision-makers at potential shipping companies across industries such as steel, construction, manufacturing, and heavy equipment
- Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective shipping clients
- Follow up with freight leads to maintain pipeline activity
- Qualify leads and set up appointments with the senior sales team to close deals
- Accurately update and maintain CRM systems with customer information, call notes, and follow-up tasks
- Meet daily and weekly outreach targets
- Collaborate with the team to refine scripts, messaging, and targeting strategies
Requirements
- Fluent, professional English — both written and spoken (non-negotiable)
- Strong communication skills and confidence making outbound sales calls
- Experience in logistics, trucking, freight brokerage, or transportation is highly preferred
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Close CRM, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Salesforce, or similar)
- Comfortable using lead generation tools such as Apollo
- Organised, motivated, and dependable — able to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable internet connection and a professional home office setup
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, Central Standard Time (CST), 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Nice to Have (Bonus Points)
- Prior experience in freight, logistics, or transportation — knowing the language (rate per mile, flatbed, hotshot, etc.) is a BIG plus
- Experience using Close CRM or a sales-specific dialer
- Background in B2B sales targeting commercial or industrial companies
