Focus in Distributed Systems Groups:

### Database Access Stage The Database Access Stage group designs and operates an adaptable query gateway that works with data considerations to operate at sub-millisecond latencies while allowing Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data. This group holds a significant responsibility in empowering Netflix microservices to fulfill their constantly evolving and advancing data needs. ### Data Stage Foundation The Data Stage Foundation group serves as a platform for our own data platforms. Our common foundation and tooling enable arenaflex to rapidly enhance on providing cutting-edge data and analytics platforms to the rest of the organization without building tailor-made platforms for each new framework. To do this, we create high-impact foundation, control, and deployment frameworks that are tailored for the needs of running our data platforms at scale; particularly, many of our tools and frameworks are written in Python, making this an excellent group to consider if you enjoy working in various languages. ### Large Data Figure Responsible for providing the cloud-native stage for distributed data processing at arenaflex. This group is key to batch data processing in Data Stage. It offers support for Flash, to ETL data into the Petabytes-scale data warehouse and access that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. It also provides sub-second latency to a specific class of queries using Druid. We're looking for exceptional talent with experience in Flash, Presto/Trino, Druid, Iceberg, and distributed database frameworks in general. Jobs in this group include tackling very fascinating and challenging issues of working with data at scale, building features and performance enhancements, and working closely with open-source communities to shape the projects and make contributions. ### Large Data Organization Offers the stage for scheduling, coordinating, and executing large data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way. These stages include basic services that have all ETL and ML responsibilities running on Large Data Frameworks at arenaflex. These fully distributed frameworks are continually evolving for arenaflex scale with cutting-edge technology. We're moving towards event-driven and intelligent coordination, which would require minimal client input/intervention.

About You:

* You have 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications.

• You're proficient in the design and development of scalable web services.
• Experienced in building and operating flexible, issue-tolerant, distributed systems.
• You're knowledgeable about Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Multi-threading is a challenge that you're comfortable handling.
• You have a BS in Computer Science or a related field.
