Our team is comprised of experts who are dedicated to providing top-notch land warning services, and we are seeking a motivated individual to join our Geographic Data team as a Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst.
Job Summary
The Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst will be responsible for creating geographic data for assigned areas, designing PC-generated maps and reports, and providing administrative support to local Deal Makers. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities and Obligations
* Create PC-generated maps, reports, tables, and charts for assigned areas using MapInfo, as specified by local Deal Makers
- Process requests and inquiries directly from Costco Activities for market strategy guides and presentation materials
- Perform a variety of project-specific tasks, including research and analysis of data as assigned
- Provide administrative support to local Deal Makers by preparing accurate and timely cost reports, editing documents, booking travel, preparing visit books, and meeting other administrative needs as specified
- Perform general office duties, including answering incoming calls, receiving office visitors, mail handling and planning, ensuring all office equipment is functioning properly, ensuring PCs are working accurately, recording, booking deliveries, and requesting office supplies
Required Skills and Competencies
* General knowledge of geographic information systems
- Knowledge of data analysis and insights presentation
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills and Competencies
* Proficiency in MapInfo
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in GIS or two years of relevant work experience in geographic information systems
