Job Summary:
The Data Entry/ Specimen Processor will be responsible for receiving and processing laboratory specimens and requisitions, entering data into our database, labeling, centrifuging, and aliquoting specimens, and assisting in training lab assistant staff. This is a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work in a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive and process laboratory specimens and requisitions in a timely and accurate manner
- Enter requisition data into our database, label, centrifuge, and aliquot all specimens
- Assist in training lab assistant staff to ensure seamless onboarding and knowledge transfer
- Act in the best interest of patient care and arenaflex, adhering to our core values and mission
- Lead duties as assigned by Supervisor, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient laboratory operations and high-quality patient care
Job Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college science helpful
- Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and laboratory staff
- A willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience working in the Accessioning department preferred, but not required
- Data entry skills necessary, with proficiency in computer software and systems
