Job Title: Procurement Manager | 100% Remote | Vienna, VA | $57.69- $72.11/ Hour

Job Description

The Strategic Procurement Manager leads the development and execution of effective sourcing strategies that deliver economic and cost efficiencies, supply assurance, and quality in the procurement of goods and services. This position plays a critical role in integrating spend and procurement processes for newly acquired locations, partnering cross-functionally to support seamless onboarding and alignment with company procurement standards.

Responsibilities

Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the patient experience. Develop and execute the strategy to source indirect goods and services to support business stakeholders and programs. Influence and manage stakeholders by understanding their needs, aligning procurement and business objectives, and executing effective and timely communications. Guide teams towards procurement strategies that yield tangible outcomes, streamline the RFP process, negotiate contracts skillfully to meet cost-saving targets, and refine standardized procurement procedures. Develop and execute strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration. Leverage strong negotiation skills to pursue cost-savings discussions with vendors and convince internal stakeholders of optimal decisions. Manage supplier relationships effectively and appropriately to create a culture of proactive continuous improvement. Analyze spend data and business needs to create category plans and strategic sourcing initiatives. Manage and update contracts for indirect purchases, including ownership of terms and conditions and legal compliance. Manage category-focused projects such as sourcing, demand management, and process review. Leverage systems to improve sourcing strategies, communication with suppliers, and improve accountability and cost-effectiveness. Analyze procurement policy and procedures for impact on procurement and expenditures. Act as the primary procurement partner with business leads to assist in contracting and spend management processes. Oversee the integration of procurement activities for newly acquired and opened offices. Manage and mentor team members to help them achieve success in their respective roles. Essential Skills 8+ years of experience in Procurement, Contracts, and Acquisition. Proficiency in Pricing & Negotiations. Experience with Oracle, Advanced Excel, and Sharepoint. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain/Logistics from an accredited institution or a combination of equivalent education, skills, and work experience. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and complex business case analysis skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and influencing capabilities. Detail-oriented and able to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Capable of challenging the status quo and being a change agent. Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills. Self-driven with an adaptive leadership style and a passion for procurement. Problem-solving and issue resolution skills. Focus on total cost of ownership.

Work Environment

This position offers flexibility with the option to work remotely, or from our offices located in Vienna or North Carolina. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Vienna, VA.
