Job Summary

As a Call Taker (Customer Service Representative) at arenaflex, you will be responsible for answering and entering into our system all phone, electronic, or faxed requests for emergent and non-emergent transportation by ambulance and NEV. You will provide pleasant and professional service to hospitals, nursing facilities, and private individuals, while also answering 911 calls for the areas serviced by arenaflex. This is an entry-level position that requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Answer, screen, and direct calls for the entire company

  • Distinguish the need for emergency transportation and provide pre-arranged transport for facilities while determining the level of care needed for patients
  • Arrange specialty and critical care transportation as needed
  • Provide information and assistance for customer service inquiries as needed
  • Communicate with multiple departments and EMS personnel to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provide supportive information to customers to assist them in arranging appropriate transport
  • Develop effective solutions for customer service issues and direct calls to Flight desk as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

* Pleasant, professional phone manner and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Typing skills of 30 wpm or better
  • Ability to excel in a high-stress environment and adapt to frequently changing policies
  • Ability to learn policies and procedures for facilities and recognize when to apply them
  • Medical background a plus, but not required
  • EMD certification will be required within 1 year of employment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple departments and EMS personnel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and policies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop effective solutions for customer service issues
  • Ability to learn and apply new policies and procedures quickly
  • Strong typing skills and ability to enter data accurately and efficiently
