Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer experiences throughout the full cycle of the loan or pawn process, including educating customers and making recommendations based on their financial needs.
- Assisting with customer account management, including accepting payments, monitoring, and managing customer appointments.
- Meeting company-set performance standards by leveraging business-to-business partnership opportunities, obtaining referrals, and participating in and hosting in-store and community events.
- Developing customer relationships to build new business, maintain store profitability, and further brand loyalty and recognition.
- Conducting vehicle appraisals accurately using the assessment tool.
- Entering and maintaining customer information in the Point-of-Sale system with accuracy and integrity.
- Upholding compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintaining office security protocols and conducting proper opening and closing procedures, including management of vault, cash drawer, and bank deposits.
- Working efficiently in a rapidly changing environment and handling multiple challenging tasks with ease to meet individual and team performance standards.
- Utilizing strong interpersonal skills to communicate and interact with customers and team members at all levels.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A professional demeanor with customers and peers.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to accurately enter data.
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle to use throughout the workday (mileage compensated).
- Proficiency in using phone, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
- To be at least 18 years of age.
- To pass a background check, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, which include standing for up to 90% of the time, moving and transporting up to 25 pounds, and operating mechanical controls.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, we're looking for candidates with:
- Experience in check cashing, document verification, and/or money order processing.
- Prior cash handling, cash drawer/vault management experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills, which may be required for certain locations.
