Job Summary

As a Customer Service Assistant at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with insurance and billing questions, taking payments, changing or updating insurance, updating patient demographics, and setting payment plans. You'll also be responsible for maintaining requested average call wait time and projected daily call volume.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist patients with insurance and billing questions via phone, email, or in-person

  • Take payments, change or update insurance, update patient demographics, and set payment plans
  • Maintain requested average call wait time and projected daily call volume
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and families
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve patient concerns and issues
  • Stay up-to-date on insurance and billing policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to improve customer service skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • 2 years of related position experience in healthcare preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in customer service or billing

  • Knowledge of insurance and billing policies and procedures
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
