Job Summary

As an LTC Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations. Your primary responsibilities will include data entry, order processing, and inventory management, all while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities

* Accurately and efficiently enter patient data, medication orders, and inventory information into our electronic health record system

  • Process and verify medication orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory levels, including medication and supplies
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and medication management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a LTC setting; experience with data entry and inventory management a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health record systems a plus

Preferred Qualifications

* Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) or registered pharmacy technician (RPhT)

  • Experience with automated dispensing systems and barcode scanning
  • Familiarity with LTC pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus
