Job Overview

As a Customer Account Manager at arenaflex, you will be responsible for growing and developing a portfolio of customer accounts, driving profitable revenue, and identifying continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with customers to understand their business needs, provide expert guidance on operational matters, and collaborate with internal departments to optimize service and cost. Your primary goal will be to build long-term relationships with customers at multiple levels within their organization, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

* Grow volume and profitable revenue within your assigned portfolio of customers through customer relationship building, quarterly business reviews, and general account development activities

  • Actively solicit and engage lapsed customers through cold selling tactics, leveraging your negotiation skills and critical thinking abilities to drive incremental opportunities
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise on customer operations-related matters, serving as the primary point of escalation for operational opportunities that cannot be resolved by the customer operations team
  • Engage face-to-face with customers through headquarter calls and on-site facility visits to provide continuous improvement collaboration, deepen and grow business partnerships, and generate incremental opportunities
  • Partner with internal departments, including Managed Transportation, Asset Planning, Finance, and Field Operations, to optimize service and cost for customers and arenaflex
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating your ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working under generalized direction, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Ability to interact with customers with limited leader support, demonstrating your ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Ability and willingness to work in an office environment, with occasional exposure to warehouse and manufacturing plant settings
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and identifying new business opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED

  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to 5 years of work experience, with a focus on customer-facing roles and account management

Preferred Qualifications

* 3-5 years of Customer Account Management/Selling experience, with a focus on transportation and logistics industries

  • 1-3 years of experience in transportation and logistics, with a focus on customer-facing roles and account management
  • A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or Sales Marketing, with a focus on developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

As a Customer Account Manager at arenaflex, you will work in a normal office environment, with occasional exposure to warehouse and manufacturing plant settings. You will be required to travel 30% of the time, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and identifying new business opportunities.
