Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at our Elk Grove, CA location. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and visually appealing food mart, and ensuring that our customers have a seamless and enjoyable experience. Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

• Welcoming and making eye contact with all customers when they enter the store
• Representing arenaflex in a professional manner at all times, consistently maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with customers
• Performing the Four Steps of Customer Service with all customers to ensure an excellent Mystery Shop review and total customer satisfaction
• Offering current promotional items to all customers
• Offering credit card application and information to all customers
• Stocking and maintaining all displays and coolers to ensure they are visually appealing to customers
• Ensuring that all promotional signage is in good condition and displayed in key areas to maximize effectiveness
• Ensuring that all prices are displayed correctly for each product
• Removing damaged and expired items from the shelf and setting them aside for the Station Manager
• Keeping the food and beverage area clean, neat, and well stocked with all necessary items
• Preparing hot food and beverage items at the correct temperature
• Sanitizing all coffee and fountain machines, roller grills, and other machines and equipment that come into contact with hot foods and beverages
• Accurately conducting all cash, debit, credit transactions on the cash register (POS)
• Performing simple math calculations
• Ensuring that all money is dropped in the safe according to company policy and procedures
• Maintaining the outdoor equipment (pumps, water bucket and squeegees, paper towel dispenser)
• Removing and disposing of trash and debris outside/inside
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Cleaning station restrooms
• Following Shift Duties schedule for correlating shift
• Checking for valid identification for all credit card transactions and age-restricted items (Lotto/Tobacco/Alcohol)
• Understanding how the car wash operates and how to reset it if needed (only applicable for locations with car wash)
• Performing all other duties assigned

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Customer Service Representative, you'll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic aptitude and understanding of POS
• Some customer service experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability, multi-tasking, and sound decision-making abilities
• Computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a retail environment

• Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment at our Elk Grove, CA location. You'll be responsible for maintaining a clean and visually appealing food mart, ensuring that our customers have a seamless and enjoyable experience, and providing exceptional customer service.

Physical and Visual Activities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be required to perform numerous physical activities that require considerable use of your hands, arms, and legs, including:

• Prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting of materials
• Frequent lifting, grasping, and carrying materials and equipment up to 50 lbs
• Proficient hand/eye dexterity to operate cash register (POS) and to stock displays and coolers
• Ability to communicate well enough to receive instructions and provide information to others
• Ability to work inside and outside in all types of weather
