Job Summary:
As a Customer Service/Sales representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to customers, learning about our products and services, and selling entire projects to meet customer needs. You'll work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to maintain a safe and clean shopping environment, ensure in-stock conditions, and provide exceptional customer experiences. With a focus on building relationships and driving sales growth, you'll have the opportunity to work in various departments, including Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide fast, friendly service to customers, actively seeking out opportunities to assess their needs and provide assistance - Learn about arenaflex products and services using our tools and resources, and provide information to customers to sell entire projects - Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments - Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe - Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty - Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department and other departments to achieve sales and customer service goals - Participate in sales training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge - Meet or exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction goals - Collaborate with other departments to provide a seamless customer experience - Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, promotions, and sales strategies to provide informed and effective sales support
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred - 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or sales environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues - Strong product knowledge and sales skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new products and services - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting sales and customer service goals - Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time - Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
