Job Summary
As a full stack data engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data pipelines and architectures using big data stacks and cloud applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data engineering solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain complex data pipelines and architectures using big data stacks and cloud applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data engineering solutions that meet the needs of our customers
- Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes using AWS big data stack, Python, Redshift, QuickSight, and other related technologies
- Create and manage ETLs to source data from various financial, AWS, and operational systems and create a unified data model for analysis and reporting
- Develop and maintain continuous data pipelines based on AWS technologies, including EMR, Paste, Redshift/Range, and Athena
- Work with other engineering teams, product managers, and analysts to execute advanced analytics and machine learning models that leverage our rich datasets for financial modeling, statistical analysis, prediction, and more
- Stay up-to-date with the latest big data and analytics technologies to deliver new capabilities and increase efficiency
- Use business intelligence and analytics software (e.g., QuickSight) to develop dashboards used by senior executives
- Enable technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive their own analysis and reporting (self-serve reporting) and support ad-hoc reporting when required
- Work closely with colleagues to drive continuous model executions for monitoring and alerting of risk systems
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and decisively, focusing on high-impact tasks
- Collaborate across teams and departments to deliver results
- Coach and mentor junior engineers, impact positively on team culture, and contribute to the growth of the team
Essential Capabilities
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, data science, or related field
- Experience in designing and implementing data engineering frameworks from scratch and maintaining/supporting existing frameworks
- Experience in managing large and complex datasets and execution tuning
- Proficiency in one of the programming languages - Python, Ruby, or similar
- Experience working with big data repositories or data lakes
- Experience in designing data models that support structured and unstructured data
- Experience in gathering requirements and designing business metrics for reporting
- Ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities
Preferred Capabilities
* Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Paste, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, report or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
- Graduate degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, data science, or related field
- Related experience in programming using Python

Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of living across multiple US geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $205,600/year in our lowest geographic market to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Compensation may vary based on market area, work-related information, skills, and experience. arenaflex is a total compensation organization. Depending on the position offered, value, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a comprehensive compensation package, in addition to a full range of clinical, financial, and other benefits.
