Job Responsibilities:

As a Data Entry Specialist in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately reviewing, interpreting, and entering patient information into our computer system, including medication orders, dosages, and insurance information
  • Contacting healthcare providers and insurance companies to verify patient information and ensure the accuracy of medication orders
  • Responding to patient calls to arrange and manage new medication orders and reorders, including verifying benefits and coverage
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and medication orders
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow
  • Participating in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations

Requirements:

* Graduate degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare administration)

  • Current Arizona Pharmacy Technician license
  • At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy setting
  • Proficiency in Windows-Based applications, including Microsoft Office and email
  • Excellent keyboarding skills and ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8-10 hours)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

* At least 6 months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

  • Experience working with Windows-Based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email
  • Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and other clinical support roles
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and service
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and communication
