Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team at arenaflex. As a key member of our data management team, you'll be responsible for gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database. Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into the appropriate system database
  • Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
  • Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database
  • Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications
  • Following data program security practices and procedures at all times
  • Routinely securing information by completing database backup daily
  • Performing other various clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; a minimum of 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience in a Medical Office: Experience in a medical office preferred but not required
  • Tech-Savviness and Attention to Detail: MUST be tech-savvy and be detail-oriented
  • Computer Skills: Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone
  • Software Proficiency: Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet
  • Typing Speed: Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met; demonstrates exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed
  • Confidentiality: Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Team-Oriented Environment: Must demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment
