Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing enrollment and outreach services to New York Medicaid recipients. This is an onsite position located at the LDSS/HRA office in Long Island City, NY. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service, support, and guidance throughout the enrollment process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional customer service to New York Medicaid recipients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and needs in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct outreach services to engage with customers, educate them about available programs, and facilitate enrollment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer issues, escalate complex cases, and ensure seamless communication
- Maintain accurate records, update customer information, and track progress in our database
- Participate in training programs, workshops, and conferences to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity and quality standards
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in database management and customer relationship management software
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with Medicaid or other government programs
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (English and Spanish)
- Experience with customer service software, such as CRM systems
- Certification in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
