Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:
- Order Entry: accurately entering new and refill medication orders into our system
- File documentation: maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with pharmacy regulations
- Customer inquiries: responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Fill drug kits: preparing and packaging medication kits under direct supervision, applying accuracy and aseptic technique
- Match preprinted labels and delivery manifests: ensuring accurate matching and verification of medication orders
- Locate medication: retrieving medication from the pharmacy supply area and packaging it correctly
- Pre-package medications: preparing medication for delivery in accordance with standard procedures
- Assist with computer operations: supporting billing procedures and other phases of computer operations
- Clean equipment and work areas: maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Check equipment for calibration and safety: ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly and safely
- Rotate stock: maintaining accurate inventory levels and rotating stock as required
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) certification, preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience: a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting
- Excellent data entry skills: accuracy and attention to detail are essential
- Excellent oral and written communication skills: effective communication with customers and colleagues is critical
- Excellent customer service skills: providing exceptional service to customers is a key aspect of this role
