Temporary Tax Specialist
Job Description:
- Monitor internal order queues, email inboxes, and reporting tools for new Tax Certificate and HOA Certificate requests, updates, and related inquiries.
- Process new and update requests through approved third‑party vendor platforms (e.g., DataTrace, TitleLogix), tracking open orders through completion.
- Review returned Tax Certificates and HOA information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to uploading to the production file.
- Upload completed certificates and supporting documentation into internal title closing systems following established naming conventions and document standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal closing offices regarding order status, delays, corrections, or changes impacting tax or HOA information.
- Maintain consistent service levels while managing daily production volume.
- Provide exceptional internal customer service while supporting department service level objectives.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior knowledge of, or experience with, Texas Property Tax Certificates and/or HOA information strongly preferred.
- Experience in a title, escrow, tax services, or real estate support environment preferred.
- Familiarity with third‑party tax service providers (e.g., DataTrace, TitleLogix).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage volume‑driven work.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or incomplete information.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to established processes and turnaround expectations.
- Proficient with standard office technology and document management systems.
